Global Consultation on World Evangelization

This report came out of meetings held recently in South Africa and attended by the 35 GCOWE 97 consultation coordinators from 7 countries. The registration process remains open with registrations in from 75 countries and rising toward the goal of over 100 countries.
International Coordinator: Dr. Chris De Wet, South Africa - Executive Director International, Africa Ministries Network (AFMIN). Chairman of the Association of International Trainers. South African Coordinator: Pastor Karel Sanders, Executive Director of AFMIN Other Coordinator: Dr. Bob Logan, USA - Coordinator of Training for Church Planting Movements Task Force.
Goal of the consultation: Church planters will discuss ways in which to train others in methods that will lead to multiplying indigenous churches amongst the unreached peoples of the world.
Description of the type of leaders invited: (1) People involved in church planting. (2) People planning for church planting. (3) People training church planters.
List of some key delegates who have registered: Pastor Stanley Ndovi, Malawi - planted 70 churches in 9 years, from 80 members to over 60,000. Pastor Ilunga Mfumwabana, Zaire - planted 171 churches in eight years having over 150,000 members. James Engel, USA - Coorordinator of Strategy & Resource Development Taskforce. V., India - India Director, Mission to the Unreached.
Consultation coordinators report the following praise reports: The consultation coordinator has encountered case studies that will be presented at GCOWE 97 by their originators. For example, in Spain, a jazz band has successfully planted churches. A church planter from Zaire will tell how he planted 130 churches, each with over 2000 members.
