Dear AD2-Announce Reader:
As the AD2000 & Beyond Movement moves towards its final closure date of early 2001, all of the movement's Tracks / Resource Networks and Task Forces have been requested to provide an overview summary of their specific realm of experience over the 5 - 10 years of their operational existence. These reports have been prepared for compilation of a "lasting record" of this movement and for all to see, as they are interested!
Please see the attached report on Children's Sub-Track of the United Prayer Track written by Esther Ilnisky and Mary Tome of Esther Network International. Even though this track is a part of the United Prayer Track, we think you will be greatly encouraged about what God has done with the cooperation of many worldwide. Great appreciation and praises to God for Esther, Mary - and many others involved!
These reports will all be included along with other historical reports and data of the AD2000 & Beyond Movement, including the AD2000 website, and much more on a CD-ROM being produced for distribution at Celebrate Messiah 2000. Further distribution of this CD-ROM will also be made after the conference. Please email [email protected] if you<> are interested in purchasing one of these CD-ROMs.
NOTE: Celebrate Messiah 2000 will be held in Jerusalem and Bethlehem 27 December 2000 - 2 January 2001. Registration invitation is still open to those so interested. Please contact Lauri Dennis, Registrar, at [email protected] for more information.<>
The AD2000 International Office will be closing early in 2001. Click here for more information.
Thank you for your interest in the AD2000 & Beyond Movement and its spiritual and catalytic outworkings into the 21st century. Please continue to pray for the movement until our closing day! Thank you!
That all may hear!

AD2000 & Beyond Movement
The Esther Network International - a global intercessory prayer ministry - was contacted by Peter and Doris Wagner about midyear 1993 and invited to become part of the United Prayer Track of the AD 2000 & Beyond Movement. At a subsequent meeting with the Wagner's during which plans for "A Day to Change the World" and "GCOWE '95" were being discussed, it became obvious that God had more in mind for ENI than simply aligning with the other Intercessory Prayer groups that were already a part of the Track. As we talked and prayed about what ENI had to offer, God divinely drew our conversation to the children - praying children! ENI then pledged to mobilize 100,000 children to pray for boys and girls around the world on "A Day to Change the World". And so, the Children's Sub-Track of the United Prayer Track was born! That initial commitment soon grew into what is now The Children's Global Prayer Movement with over one million "World Shapers" continuing to bombard the heavenlies on behalf of their generation.
God used the ENI and the Children's Sub-Track in revolutionary ways.
First of all, He used the ENI to give Christian children around the world a voice within the church. Pastors, teachers, parents and other mentors began to make room for the children in their prayer life (and other areas) of ministry.
Secondly, children were trained and equipped to become world-class intercessors for boys and girls like themselves around the world. Almost overnight, children who loved Jesus and prayed for "Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, etc", became fervent and effectual in praying for God to reveal himself and bring life and hope to boys and girls around the globe, many of whom have never heard the name of Jesus. Christian children were imparted, a vision for souls!
Additionally, Corporate Prayer took on new meaning, as children and young people became integral parts of the prayer movement of families and churches. The ENI and its Children's Global Prayer Movement have been commended for bringing reconciliation to the generations through the vehicle of intercessory prayer.
Because of the obedience of Luis Bush and Peter Wagner to a word from the Lord, global Church leadership became aware of, recognized, embraced and affirmed the ministry of intercession through praying children as 40 boys and girls (ages 6-15) from eight nations were welcomed as full-fledged intercessors to the Global Consultation on World Evangelization in Seoul, Korea in 1995.
Most importantly, both quantifiably and "by the Spirit" we know that many lives have been impacted spiritually because of the prayers of the children.
Retrospect, or hindsight, is always so revealing! Most of the challenges we encountered could not have been anticipated as no one had ever done anything of this nature before. Perhaps the things we might have done differently are:
I'm really not sure I'm in order presenting the following, especially since I didn't attend the last GCOWE. It may be redundant or not on your same page. Just some thoughts. Please consider it to mean continue doing SOMETHING. Don't stop!
Now that we are in the "and Beyond" of the AD2000 Movement, this naturally would be the thrust of the vision for a new movement: "Beyond AD2000 Movement for World Evangelism"
