The auditorium at Vista University, Mamelodi was filled as residents from all over Mamelodi and Pretoria joined the delegates of the Rural and Urban Poor Network in worshipping God in a true African way.
The expectant crowd enjoyed the worship led by Scott Wesley Brown and Bobby Michaels from the USA. The Mamelodi Chain swept the crowd away, banging them into the presence of God. The delegates and residents joined hands as they prayed for South Africa and the other countries of the world.
Some of the speakers at the evening session included Luis Bush, Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi (Minister of Welfare and Population Development) and Pinkie Bakyi (World Vision), Michael Lawrence (Cape Town City Mission), Daniel Maluleka (Can Ministries), who gave a new perspective on ministry to the poor and the needy.
Although it was extremely cold, our hearts were warmed by the relationships built between the delegates and the residents, crossing barriers that existed between them.
