Purpose

The purpose of GCOWE '95 is to encourage continued momentum building toward the fullfillment of the goal of a church for every people and the gospel for every people by the year 2000.

Expected Outcomes

• Many groups within the body of Christ individually and collectively with others, are setting their own year 2000 goals for world evangelization. Potentially, millions of Christians will work and pray with a more common focus towards the turn of the century. GCOWE '95 is a mid-decadal assessment point to bring together these groups.
• Setting on-going strategies as Christians work through separate but cooperative programs, it is hoped that the body of Christ would realize these outcomes.
• Increased mobilization of united prayer efforts by linking prayer networks nationally, regionally and around the world and seeking to mobilize them for world evangelization.
• Revitalization of church leaders through the sharing of principles and models of effective local church mobilization, church renewal and world evangelization.
• Establishment of an evangelical congregation within easy access of every person in the world.
• Equipping of key leadership in every country to develop and implement effective cross-cultural missionary training programs.
• Establishment of permanent national missiological research functions in every country of the world.
• More strategic assessment of the progress of evangelization among the unreached and adoptable peoples, plus the 10/40 Window world.
• Provision of a valid opportunity for every person to accept or reject the gospel.
• Establishment of a church planting movement within every unreached people group and city in the country/region.
• Development of the innate and spiritual gifts of God's people everywhere, with particular emphasis on women and young people for world evangelization.
